Jim Budlong’s career in woodworking began during the mid 1970’s working for his father’s cabinetmaking and furniture repair business.  He attended College of the Redwoods (CR) Fine Woodworking Program from 1983 through 1985, eventually joining the staff part time in 1989.  Currently he is an associate faculty member with the CR woodworking program teaching part time during the year and full time during segments of the summer courses.  When he is not teaching, he makes furniture out of his shop near Comptche, CA.
